Susan Jacobsen

Susan is an Associate Attorney in the Cleveland office. She works on complex criminal defense and internal investigation matters, but also has a unique focus on defamation, cybersecurity, and data privacy matters, and other complex litigation. Before joining Flannery | Georgalis, Susan practiced at a boutique internet defamation law firm helping clients who were victimized by online defamation, cyberbullying and harassment, extortion, and other invasive privacy issues.

Susan graduated summa cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, served as the Articles Editor on the Cleveland State Law Review, and also obtained a Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Certificate. She achieved Dean’s List recognition every semester and earned CALI awards for highest grades in Torts, Contracts, Estates & Trusts, Constitutional Law, and Cybersecurity. While attending law school, Susan was a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael P. Donnelly of the Ohio Supreme Court. She later served as bailiff for the Honorable Richard A. Bell in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas as well as a paralegal for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in the Special Investigations Division.
