Steve Maszczak is a Partner in the Youngstown office of Flannery Georgalis, LLC where his practice focuses on criminal defense, internal investigations, and civil litigation. Steve’s practice also includes providing Firm clients with advice on transactional matters and developing practical and strategic solutions to complex legal challenges.

Steve’s experience includes nearly a decade of service as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office where he handled some of the office’s most complex and serious criminal matters. As a prosecutor, he investigated and prosecuted high-level drug trafficking cases, as well as violent crimes and white-collar offenses involving healthcare, pharmaceutical, and other economic crime. He also handled a wide range of firearms-related cases, including improper handling of firearms, concealed carry violations, and having weapons while under disability. Across these matters, he worked closely with state investigators and law enforcement agencies, provided legal briefings and continuing education to local task forces and police leadership, and gained substantial experience managing investigations, negotiating resolutions, and litigating through bench and jury trials.

Earlier in his career, Steve maintained a successful private practice, serving clients throughout Northeast Ohio and representing individuals and businesses in a broad range of matters. His practice included felony and misdemeanor criminal and traffic defense, landlord-tenant disputes, probate and juvenile cases, and civil collections litigation. He also advised business clients on corporate and transactional matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating partnership and operating agreements. This breadth of experience carries into his work at F | G, enabling a well-rounded perspective grounded in courtroom advocacy and strategic counseling.

Before entering the legal profession, Steve worked as a Health Systems Account Manager, managing pharmaceutical formularies for major healthcare systems nationwide. In that role, he oversaw high-value accounts and navigated complex regulatory and contractual environments, an experience that continues to deepen his analytical approach and understanding of regulated industries.
