Matthew focuses his practice on complex criminal and civil litigation and investigations. He earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Cleveland State University College of Law. While in law school, Matthew honed his legal skills during externships with Judge Charles E. Fleming of the Northern District of Ohio, as well as the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio. He interned with the Executive Office of Immigration Review, Office of Chief Immigration Judge during law school as part of the D.O.J.’s Summer Law Internship Program. Matt leverages his immigration law experience in representing individuals and organizations in immigration enforcement matters and complex removal proceedings.
Matthew was vice-chairperson for the Cleveland State Law Moot Court Team, where he received the best oralist award. He was also managing editor for the Cleveland State Law Review where he had his student note A Delicate Balance: Adopting the French Court of Cassation’s Dual Criminality Interpretation published in the Law Review’s 73rd edition.
