Mark Lang is an Investigator in the Columbus office, bringing over 28 years of law enforcement experience at the local, state, and federal levels. Serving in various leadership roles within the Columbus Division of Police, Ohio Attorney General’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Mark harnesses his experience to provide meticulous, invaluable services to the clients of Flannery | Georgalis.
Prior to joining F|G, Mark served as a Police Commander with the Columbus Division of Police for nine years. While there, Mark oversaw high-profile internal investigations involving city employees and major police discipline cases. His command experience includes assignments in the Training, Professional Standards, Property Crimes, and Special Projects Bureaus and managing police responses for major events. His dedication throughout his career with the Colombus Division of Police is reflected through his receipt of several accolades and awards including the medal of merit and a special commendation.
During his tenure with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office as Director of the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, Mark led the state’s fight against human trafficking by coordinating multi-agency operations, developing strategies, and securing resources to dismantle trafficking networks. His collaborative efforts with local, state, and federal partners contributed to the successful prosecution of human trafficking offenders and created pathways for victim recovery. Throughout Mark’s career, he regularly worked with agents and attorneys from the FBI, HSI, BCI, U.S. Secret Service, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Mark is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Police Executive Leadership College. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Policy and Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Security and Intelligence from The Ohio State University.
