Mallory Lucas

Mallory focuses her practice on complex criminal defense, and brings a strong foundation in advocacy, public service, and litigation strategy. She has experience assisting in the representation of individuals and entities in complex criminal and regulatory matters, supporting attorneys through legal research, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Mallory graduated first in her class from Wayne State University Law School in May 2025. During law school, Mallory served as Vice President of the Criminal Law Society, as a Student Coach and Nationals Team Member of Wayne Law’s Student Trial Advocacy Program, and as the American Bar Association Representative of the Student Board of Governors. Throughout law school, Mallory focused her studies and practical experiences on criminal law and courtroom advocacy, reflecting her longstanding interest in public service and trial work.

Before joining Flannery | Georgalis, Mallory worked at the United States Attorney’s Office in Detroit as a legal assistant in the Violent and Organized Crime Unit. Mallory also served as a judicial intern at the 44th District Court in Royal Oak, Michigan to the Honorable Andrew W. Kowalkowski and the Honorable Derek W. Meinecke. Mallory joined Flannery | Georgalis as a summer associate in 2024 and continued her position with the Firm throughout her studies.

Mallory earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and sociology, with a minor in political science, from the University of Michigan–Flint, graduating with highest honors in December 2021. She began her legal career during her undergraduate studies as an intern at the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office.
