Lambert Guinn

Lambert is a former federal and state prosecutor with extensive criminal law and trial experience. He served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of North Carolina, as an Assistant District Attorney in Wilson County, and has held two Judicial Law Clerk positions at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Having conducted dozens of trials, many of them in federal court, Lambert has extensive subject matter knowledge across a wide array of complex criminal matters and litigation, including large-scale narcotics trafficking conspiracies, environmental protection agency investigations, and violent crime investigations.

As an Assistant United States Attorney, Lambert served in the Violent Crimes and Narcotics Sections, where he worked with several local, state and federal organizations including the ATF, FBI, EPA, and HSI. Along with co-counsel and the EPA, Lambert conducted a jury trial involving the illegal dumping of hazardous waste material in violation of RCRA. Lambert also worked with the FBI to lead multiple wiretap investigations of illegal narcotics distribution networks. In an effort to keep communities safe, Lambert led Project Safe Neighborhood and Project Guardian. Lambert also used statistical analysis to monitor violent crime trends in the community and develop solutions to address these problems.

As an ADA, he prosecuted numerous misdemeanor and felony cases before Juvenile, District, and Superior Courts. Annually, Lambert managed hundreds of felony cases involving matters ranging from property crimes to serious violent assaults. He was also lead counsel on approximately 20 jury trials in the North Carolina Superior Court. Lambert worked with law enforcement officers during his time as an ADA as well, where he regularly conducted courtroom readiness training for new law enforcement officers through Basic Law Enforcement Training classes.

As a Judicial Law Clerk, Lambert drafted and edited appellate opinions related to complex criminal and civil matters, along with extensively researching legal matters in the areas of Criminal, Corporate, and Probate Law.
