Jihan Williams

Jihan is a former federal prosecutor with diverse criminal law and trial experience. She served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Michigan and worked in the General Crimes Unit, Drug Task Force, and the Health Care Fraud Unit.

As an AUSA in Detroit from 2016-2023, Jihan investigated and prosecuted a wide variety of federal criminal cases and worked on complex investigations. These cases ranged from multi defendant drug conspiracies, firearm offense, violent crime, Hobbs Act robberies, money laundering, white-collar crime, and health care fraud cases. Immediately prior to joining Flannery Georgalis, Jihan served as the Deputy Chief of the Health Care Fraud Unit in Detroit and her practice focused on the investigation of the unlawful diversion of drugs by licensed medical professionals.

Jihan has significant federal criminal court and trial experience, having conducted federal jury trials for drug cases, violent crime cases, and health care fraud cases.

Prior joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jihan practiced commercial litigation with a mid-size Detroit based law firm and focused on automotive and health care litigation for almost three years. While at the firm, Jihan also served as the Assistant City Attorney for a local municipality where she handled a wide array of issues for the city including contract disputes, landlord tenant issues, and misdemeanor criminal infractions.
