Jeremy is a Partner at Flannery | Georgalis. His practice focuses on trust and estate litigation, probate litigation, trust and estate administration, and estate planning. Jeremy has an unparalleled breadth of experience, particularly in trust and estate litigation. Having litigated numerous trust and estate litigation cases, both in Mecklenburg County and numerous other counties throughout North Carolina, he stands out as one of the most seasoned trust and estate courtroom attorneys in the United States. Jeremy’s practice is unique due to his exceptional reputation for handling high-stakes trials as a skilled and specialized litigator in trust and estate litigation and disputes.
Jeremy’s invaluable expertise as a trial lawyer in this niche field extends to developing comprehensive estate plans, including drafts of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate plan documents. He guides clients through the estate administration process, whether or not a will is present, ensuring all necessary steps and documents are handled with care and precision.
What sets Jeremy apart is his litigation background that is extremely unique. While he is very skilled in drafting simple to extensive estate plans and in administering any size estate upon the death of a loved one, he is one of the few estate attorneys that also litigate high level disputes related to estates and fiduciary obligations. This sets him apart from many estate attorneys that simply do not have the desire or experience to litigate. Jeremy has that experience.
Prior to joining Flannery | Georgalis, Jeremy practiced at a well-regarded Charlotte law firm, where he focused on estate litigation, administration, and planning. Jeremy, in keeping with much of the philosophy and background of many attorneys at Flannery | Georgalis, has an extensive background in high-stakes criminal defense, including having tried jury trials in federal and state courts.
After this extensive criminal ligation background, Jeremy made the transition to focusing on estate practice. He built, both in his previous solo boutique practice, Pinnacle Law, and in his partnership with a previous firm, a robust estate litigation practice, along with administering all size estates and drafting all size estate planning documents.
