Flannery Georgalis, LLC is proud to represent Environment Ohio and Lake Erie Waterkeeper, two Ohio-based environmental advocacy organizations, alongside The National Environmental Law Center (NELC), in a Federal Clean Water Act (CWA) citizens suit against the Campbell Soup Supply Company for releasing harmful pollutants into Maumee River. Our clients, who are dedicated to safeguarding the health of Lake Erie, the Maumee River, and the overall environment, turned to the environmental litigation experts at F | G to pursue legal action against Campbell’s violating for the CWA in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. In a case joined by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environmental and Natural Resources Division, Campbell’s recently stipulated to liability for over a thousand illegal discharges over a seven-year period. A trial to determine the appropriate financial penalty Campbell’s must pay will occur in Fall 2026.
