Detroit, Michigan (November 20, 2022) – Flannery | Georgalis, LLC continues its expansion with the opening of its newest office in Detroit, Michigan. Detroit is the fifth office nationwide and joins the Firm’s other locations in Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh, and Charlotte. Kevin Mulcahy, a former federal prosecutor, is the Firm’s Partner-in-Charge of the Detroit office. In his 20-year career as a federal prosecutor, Kevin served as Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney, Chief of the General Crimes Unit, and Deputy Chief of the National Security Unit during his tenures with the Eastern District of Michigan and Southern District of California. He is currently paired with Carol Paszkiewicz, a highly experienced investigator and former federal special agent.
“Kevin is a tremendous addition to the already deep bench of attorneys with Flannery | Georgalis,” co-founder Chris Georgalis says. “He’s an aggressive litigator and dogged advocate, and very highly regarded throughout the Department of Justice and by the U.S. Attorney’s offices across the country.”
Paszkiewicz’s record is also impressive. She has more than 24 years of federal law enforcement experience leading complex environmental, healthcare, public corruption, and other white-collar investigations. She served as Resident Agent in Charge of the EPA’s Criminal Investigation Division in Detroit, as a Special Agent for U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, and as a member of the Health Care Fraud Task Force.
“Carol’s record speaks for itself,” says co-founder Paul Flannery. “Her experience, especially in the areas of environmental and healthcare enforcement matters, will be a valuable asset to our clients. We’re looking forward to watching Kevin and Carol’s success as they grow the Detroit Office.”
Specializing in sensitive matters and complex investigations, disputes, and litigation, Flannery | Georgalis provides sophisticated legal services and conflict free litigation in a boutique setting. The Firm was founded in 2017 by Paul Flannery and Chris Georgalis, both of whom served as federal prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio.
